Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were luxurious with all the necessary essentials provided, making it very convenient. The service was above and beyond, and the location was great, close to many key sights. However, the dining options were a bit expensive unless you plan to have a bigger meal, and the quality was not the best.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of old-world charm and some dated aspects. While the rooms had a lovely Austrian feel to them, the lobby area showed signs of wear, especially with lingering smoke smell. Despite encountering a used food tray near a room, the overall stay was enjoyable with its authentic ambiance.
Upon arrival, the overall decoration of the hotel and rooms felt cold, but the temperature was comfortable. The rooms had drapes that needed re-hanging, and my empty laundry baskets were left inside the room for my entire stay, not taken away by the chambermaid daily.
The hotel rooms are excellent, large, comfortable, and well-maintained, with daily changing towels and bathroom accessories. The location is great, within walking distance to main scenic spots, restaurants, attractions, the opera, and museums. The dining experience is in gorgeous surroundings but can be pricey and not very exciting. The service is mixed, with tired staff but helpful in providing medical attention and arranging sightseeing. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement in service and dining.
The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring both Medieval and Imperial Vienna, with easy access to major attractions, although the presence of police can be noticeable. The rooms require more attention to cleanliness and maintenance, emanating an old odor. The staff provide personalized service with lovely details but may overlook certain housekeeping aspects. The dining options are deemed expensive for what is offered, and the facilities cater to a sense of authentic luxury.
I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The rooms were excellent, providing a traditional, comfortable, and luxurious experience. The location was beyond perfect, putting us right in the center of all the activities we had planned. The service went out of their way to assist us with everything, from securing opera tickets to making dinner reservations.
The hotel exudes the grace and elegance of Vienna with comfortable and clean rooms. However, there were issues with drapes and room upkeep during my stay. The service was efficient but lacked the warm welcome we expected. The location was perfect for exploring the city center and major attractions. The dining experience had some delays and pricing issues. Overall, a stay that captures old Viennese glamour with some minor inconveniences.
